Local SEO that drives foot traffic

When someone searches for what you sell in the area you serve, you are either in the map pack or you are invisible. We work on the Google Business Profile, the location pages, the reviews, and the local citations that decide which of those two things happens.

What the engagement protects

Ownership of your own Business Profile and listings

Honest timelines instead of first-page promises

Reporting tied to calls and inquiries, not vanity ranks

Evidence status

Moving a local listing without losing its history

When Cimino Restaurant rebranded, the risk was not the website — it was the Google Business Profile carrying years of reviews and local signal. We handled the listing transfer alongside the domain move so the local presence survived the rename.

The Business Profile handed over in three to four days with its history intact, and the local search footprint reattached to the new name rather than rebuilt from zero.

How local visibility usually breaks

Local visibility fails in specific, observable ways. Naming which one is happening to you decides where the work should start.

What consistent local signals produce

What changes once the local signals are consistent and the profile is doing its job.

Visibility at the moment of intent

You appear when someone in your service area searches for what you offer, which is the point where interest is highest and the decision is closest. Nothing has to interrupt them for you to be seen.

A profile that answers before the click

Categories, services, attributes, hours, photos, and posts are complete and current, so the profile itself resolves most of the questions that would otherwise cause someone to keep looking.

One consistent business record

Name, address, and phone details agree across your site, Google, and the directories that matter in your market, removing the contradictions that dilute trust in the listing.

Pages that earn their locations

Where multiple areas genuinely matter, each gets a page with real, specific content about serving that area rather than a find-and-replace of the town name.

Reporting you can act on

A dashboard of rankings, impressions, clicks, calls, and direction requests from Search Console and the Business Profile, plus a monthly note explaining what changed and what we did about it.

Six steps, run in order

A systematic sequence, with each phase producing something you can inspect rather than take on trust.

Typical working stack

Google Business Profile · Google Search Console · GA4 · Local rank tracking · Citation management tooling · Looker Studio reporting

01

Audit what is actually there

We review the site, the Google Business Profile, existing citations, review history, and the competitors currently occupying the map pack. The output is a ranked list of what is holding visibility back, separated into what we can fix quickly and what needs sustained work.

02

Research local intent

We identify the searches your customers actually use, including the unglamorous ones with clear buying intent, and map them against what the current competition satisfies. Volume alone is not the filter — intent and winnability are.

03

Fix the site fundamentals

Titles, descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, page speed, mobile experience, and LocalBusiness structured data. The site has to be technically legible before location relevance can do anything for it.

04

Rebuild the Business Profile

Primary and secondary categories, the full service list, attributes, hours, photography, and an ongoing posting rhythm. This is usually the single highest-leverage surface for map pack visibility, and the one most often left half-finished.

05

Build local authority

Citation cleanup so the business record is consistent, then genuinely relevant local links and mentions — chambers of commerce, local press, industry directories, community sponsorships. Slow, unglamorous, and the part most competitors skip.

06

Measure and adjust monthly

Rankings, impressions, clicks, calls, and direction requests are reviewed each month against the plan. We report what moved, what did not, and what we are changing next — including when the honest answer is that something we tried did not work.

What to expect, and when

Audit, research, and fix plan

Weeks 1–3

Profile rebuild and on-page work

Weeks 3–8

First measurable movement

Months 2–3

Meaningful ranking and inquiry gains

Months 3–6

How fast this moves depends on how competitive your category and area are, how much citation and review damage needs repairing, how quickly you can supply photos and approve changes, and whether the site is technically sound to begin with. Nobody can honestly promise a position by a date — the ranking systems are not ours to control, and anyone who does promise one is telling you what you want to hear.

Monthly retainer, quoted after the audit

Local SEO is ongoing work rather than a one-off project, so it is priced as a monthly retainer scoped to your market. We quote only after the audit, because the honest price depends on how much repair the profile and citations need and how competitive the map pack already is. There is no long lock-in, and every account, listing, and profile stays in your name.

What is local SEO and does my business need it?

Local SEO makes your business visible for searches with local intent — the map pack and "near me" queries. It matters most if you serve customers in a defined geographic area.
